Schaduwstemmen is an interdisciplinary performance (50–60 minutes), dance forms the common thread, complemented by illustrations via a mobile projector, poetic text, and music. Within an imaginative, magical-realistic world, Peeled Collective explores generational trauma.

In Schaduwstemmen, two people return to an abandoned swimming pool they used to visit frequently. At the time, it was a place of freedom and lightness. When they enter the empty pool, it becomes a space where time distorts. The environment slowly tilts: it becomes a magical yet increasingly oppressive world in which memories, dreams, fears, and stories from previous generations mingle. In this shift, a third figure appears, an embodiment of the past itself. This figure takes them into stories they had no idea of. The water fills with images of boats, nightmares, and visions. They encounter not only themselves and their parents but also previous generations, recognize recurring patterns, and discover that certain grief is older than themselves.
With the ultimate question: how do they break the patterns that do not seem to be their own?
